5, Are scissors heated after welding
Our scissors are heated before welding.
You know, if heated after welding, then the scissors will take more space while having heat treatment. So the quantity of scissors having heat treatment each time will be less which increase the cost of scissors, thus increase the price of scissors.
Besides, if the heated after welding, the handle will become very hard.
Two-piece welded scissors are with harde blade and soft handle, which can balance the hardness of whole scissors.
Heating before welding is a traditional way to produce scissors.

6, Does SS-55 or KL-55 have any cast parts (blades or handles)

The handles are casted. It is a traditional craft to do handles by cast, and it is more easy to do the angle of handles. All factories are doing handles in this way.

But our blades are not casted. If blades are casted, the quality of the scissors will be very bad....

1,How can we tell the difference between the materials? How would we know from which materials the scissors are produced?
Is there a difference in the cutting characteristics, color, hardness...., etc. How do you tell them apart?
The main difference lies in them is their inner chemical compositions. Actually we can not classify them with eyes after they are polished. There are mainly two ways to classify them. 1) To test the scissors through a testing lab specilizing in testing this items. 2) Let the stylists to use the scissors, to see which one is the best and which is better.
Beause of different chemical compositions, different processing crafts and with different hardness, the scissors make from these three materials boast different durability.
Scissors of ATS314 are forged scissors, thus they have the finest hardness and durability. I have to mention that the blades and handles of scissors of ATS314 are of the same material, namely ATS314.
Though both are two-piece welded, scissors of SUS440C are harder than those of 9CR13COMOV, because of their difference of inner chemical compositions.
Thus scissors of SUS440C boast better durability than those of 9CR13COMOV.

Actually the cutting characteristics does not depend on the material of scissors, but on the design of scissors and the craft of stylists.

2, The thumb ring on the 009-55T has come off. It appears that the screw at the bottom of the thumb ring will not stay tight.
Actually we have been working on the swivel scissors since you said it fell apart last time.
We found there was something wrong with the inner design of the screw cape. The cape was too big to tight the finger rings quite well.
There is another element that may leads to this problem. That is the part that tightened by the tension cape might be not long enough.
We have improved the design and it tight well now....
